Taylor is a PGY3 dermatology resident at Henry Ford Hospital! She grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and went to Duke University for undergrad before coming back home to University of Michigan Medical School. During medical school (and now residency), Taylor saw that it was difficult to keep up-to-date with dermatology research and wanted a dermatology newsletter to complement her other newsletters she used to keep up with business and current events. While Taylor is very interested in all things dermatology, she has a particular interest in dermatopathology and will be completing a fellowship at University of Michigan in 2024. She also enjoys procedural dermatology, treating skin cancer and managing skin-related toxicities of cancer treatment. She has a passion for advocating for scalp cooling use for prevention of chemotherapy- induced alopecia and co-founded Cap & Conquer, which is a non-profit that provides need-based funding for low income cancer patients. In her free time, Taylor loves spending time with her wonderful husband, who is an ophthalmology resident at University of Michigan (and co-founder of the The Lens), and family/friends. After toughing out the Michigan winters, you will likely find her in her happiest place: playing cards at the lake and doing all things water related! |
