Silvija is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Florida. She grew up in Serbia before moving to St. Petersburg, FL, and later attended UNC-Chapel Hill for her undergraduate studies. She is passionate about improving patient and medical education and access to dermatologic care in underserved communities. Her interests in dermatology center on complex inflammatory skin diseases, particularly hidradenitis suppurativa, and their challenges in management and health equity. In her free time, Silvija enjoys cheering on the Gators and Heels, staying active through tennis, pickleball, and spin, traveling, discovering new matcha and boba spots, and spending time with family and friends.
