Savanna Vidal is a medical student at The George Washington (GW) University School of Medicine and pre-doctoral research fellow with the GW Department of Dermatology. Originally from New York (an
hour north of NYC!), she studied Cell & Molecular Biology with a minor in Spanish at Binghamton University. Before medical school, she worked as a dermatology medical assistant and clinical trials research coordinator. She has been interested in becoming a dermatologist since she was a little girl, and is a long-time reader of The Daily Skimm, so discovering Sk(in depth) felt like fate. Her academic interests include inpatient dermatology, pediatric dermatology, the overlap of dermatology with rheumatology and infectious diseases, and integrative dermatology. In her free time, she works with Learn2Derm, a community-based skin health education program in Washington, D.C., volunteers as a manager at a local yoga studio, and enjoys reading fiction books. |
