Salma is a first-year medical student at the Ohio State University College of Medicine who is interested in inflammatory skin conditions, dermatopathology, and skin of color dermatology. She grew up in Columbus Ohio and earned a B.S. in Human Nutrition at Ohio State. She then went on to graduate school at Case Western Reserve University, where she received her M.S. in Molecular and Cellular Pathology. Salma was first exposed to dermatology the summer of her M1 year and is excited to learn more about the field. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her large family + cats, traveling, baking, and trying out new restaurants.
