Raquel is a 4th year medical student at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University who is interested in inflammatory skin diseases, skin of color pathologies, and oncodermatology. She grew up in California and earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and minor in Spanish at BYU; before medical school, she worked as a medical scribe at a dermatology practice which sparked her initial interest in dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time with her boyfriend and cat.  ​
