Nikki is a 2nd year combined internal medicine-dermatology resident at Northwestern on a quest to becoming a skinternist (skin + internist)! She is proudly east coast raised in Rhode Island and went to UNC Chapel Hill where she received a degree in Business Administration with minors in Chemistry and Medical Anthropology. During medical school, Nikki was eager to find a way to make staying up to date with current dermatology research more accessible for medical students and hence co-founded sk(in depth). She served as the Editor-in-Chief until starting residency where she now serves in more of an advisory role. While Nikki is very interested in all things dermatology and general medicine, she has a particular interest in inpatient dermatology, cutaneous oncology, and the overlap of rheumatologic and dermatologic diseases. She has a passion for improving medical education, specifically interprofessional education. In her free time, Nikki loves spending time with her friends and family, doing anything and everything outside, eating Italian food, event planning, going to the gym, traveling, trying new restaurants and breweries, playing with her dogs, and cheering loudly for Tar Heel and Boston sports…maybe Chicago sports now, too? (:
