Mike is a 4th-year medical student at UAB. Originally from Rhinelander, Wisconsin, he earned a finance degree in 2018 and moved to Birmingham, Alabama, with the dual purpose of accepting a job at UnitedHealthcare and relocating to an area where he could pursue his passion for competitive fishing. Inspired by service work across rural Alabama and his lived experiences, he left finance to pursue medicine with a focus on underserved communities. Mike is passionate about expanding healthcare access and education, particularly in skin cancer prevention and management. Outside of medicine, he enjoys entrepreneurship, pickleball, comedy shows, and catching the latest movies.​
