Mharlove Andre is a third-year medical student at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She is originally from Miami, FL, and attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate education, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. After college, she spent three years performing clinical research at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children’s Food Allergy Center as part of the Food Allergy Advocacy, Education, and Prevention program, under the guidance of Dr. Michael Pistiner, MD, MMSc. It was in this role that she fell in love with dermatology, through her exposure to atopic diseases such as eczema and contact dermatitis. Since then, she has developed additional interests in dermatology including skin of color, autoimmune diseases, hair loss disorders, and rheumatology-dermatology. She is also passionate about mentorship and increasing the number of minority medical students who pursue dermatology. She is a girly girl through and through and in her free time, she enjoys attending dance classes, art festivals, watching reality TV, and traveling. She is excited to help spread awareness about the importance of research and dermatology through working with Sk(in depth)!
