Cassidy is a 4th year medical student at the University of Utah who previously completed a fellowship year at UT Austin focusing on pediatric dermatology, which she is interested in pursuing in the future. She grew up in California, and attended the University of California, Irvine She graduated with a degree in Neurobiology and minor in Classical Civilizations. Debating between dentistry and medicine, she realized that medicine was more suitable to her personality and aligned better with her interests. During her gap years, she headed a student-run 501(c)3 non-profit organization as the Executive Director leading global medical trips abroad in Vietnam while she worked as a pediatric and internal medicine medical assistant and prepared for medical school. In medical school, she is currently the President of the Community Outreach of the dermatology interest group. Her other interests include global health and education. She hopes to do a global health trip in her fourth year with an emphasis on dermatology community outreach. In her free time, she enjoys doing reformer pilates, boxing, and spinning with her classmates. She is a big foodie and can provide recs in SoCal and Salt Lake if needed!
