Austin is a fourth-year medical student at McGovern Medical School with a passion for dermatology, particularly oncodermatology, dermoscopy, and inflammatory skin conditions. He recently completed a research fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Originally from Houston, Texas, he earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. Austin joined the sk(in depth) team in 2023 as a content writer and played a key role in launching the sk(in depth) podcast. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Houston’s food scene, spending time with his wife and daughters, and cheering on the Astros.​
